The Home and Pro itions have the same basic and core features. Only the Home ition lacks some of the sophisticat security and connectivity features available in the Pro ition. If Windows 11 Home doesn’t have the feature you ne, you’ll ne to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Once you decide to upgrade, this guide is yours.
If you’re not sure which version of Windows you have, right-click the Start menu and select Settings. Or hold Windows+ Ito launch the Window Settings app.
Open the System tab in the Settings app
Scroll down and select the About setting.
You’ll see your version of Windows 11 on the About Settings page, under Windows Specifications.
To upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro, you’ll ne a valid product key or digital license. Or you’ll ne to purchase the upgrade through the Microsoft Store.

Windows 11 isn’t list in the Microsoft Store right now, so you’ll ne to initiate the upgrade from the Settings app. A license to upgrade from Home Possibility to upgrade to Pro will cost you around $100. You’ll ne to have Windows 10 Home install on your PC with a genuine license for this to work. If you don’t have Windows 10 Home, the new Pro version will cost you around $199.99.
First, open Windows Settings by right-clicking
The Start menu (Windows icon) and selecting Possibility to upgrade Settings or by pressing Windows+ I.
